Ancient position within The Sisterhood of the Hiding Sun, that has not been filled for many centuries. A Taint Slayer's task was that of covertly bringing down Those That Would Taint Its Light before they could taint The Truth. Given that the identity of Those That Would Taint Its Light was a mystery, however, many Taint Slayers abused their holy gifts for personal or political gain, leading to the discontinuation of the position.
