The Raising

Originally the name of this summer solstice festival refered to the raising up of the Thule Empire. These days, however, most people assume it refers to Saint Helios' ascension to Heaven. What even less people know is that the name of the festival used to be The Razing, refering to the destroyal of Memnon by the apostles of The Messiah after his death. Recently the emperor pope Jedidiah has officially established The Raising as the most fundamental religious occasion of the liturgical year.

It is forbidden to wear black clothing on this day as followers of Demetra used to dress that way to mourn their goddess, whose Ovorion or Abundance festival used to be celebrated on the same day.
